Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What is the difference between a coach (coaching) or a therapist (counseling)?

A. While both coaching and counseling have many distinctions, one of the common themes/similarities is one’s desire to seek counsel and support to achieve or overcome a life obstacle/challenge. The significant difference between counseling and coaching is counseling focuses on helping people get well. Typically, individuals who are seeking counseling are dealing with traumatic life occurrences and will benefit most from a therapist who specializes in a specific need as it relates to mental or emotional well-being. While coaches do not focus on fixing or correcting concerns of a client's past, likewise, their primary focus is the road ahead, establishing goal setting and helping the client to become the best version of themselves.

Q: What is the time commitment for the coach/client partnership?

A. Our complimentary consultation sessions are 30 minutes if the client elects to obtain services after signing a coaching agreement, the coach and client will enter into an eight — 60-minute session partnership.

Q: How are coaching sessions conducted (i.e., in person, by phone, etc.)?
